What is Congruence?

Paul du Toit founded Congruence Training in 1995. The company specializes in soft skills training, in particular Presentation Skills (for which it has it's own dedicated website), Customer Relationships and Supervisory Development. He has served as Managing Director since it's inception.

On 3 August 2008 in New York, Paul du Toit became Africa's first Certified Speaking Professional in 24 years. An acclaimed business speaker, coach and authority on business presentations, his book "You Can Present with Confidence" was published for the first time on 1 September 2008. It was this exposure that led to him studying, in great detail, exactly what it takes to become a brilliant speaker. In his keynotes and seminars, Paul uses these skills to teach others how to shift their mindsets in the areas of presentation, client service and possibility.

During his financial services career he earned the International Quality Award over 6 consecutive years. His experience as a sales manager led to the founding of the Congruence Group in Johannesburg during 1995. He's been changing mindsets all over Southern Africa ever since, focusing on Presentation, Sales and Service. During 2005 and 2006 his peers elected him President of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa, He has been invited to speak at numerous international speaker conventions, a sought after honour among the speaking fraternity.

Paul du Toit is an established authority on sales, service and presentation having delivered Mindset Shifting talks, seminars and in-depth programmes in Southern Africa and abroad, including to the Academy for Chief Executives in Great Britain.

He is a Certified Speaking Professional awarded in 2008 by the Global Speaker Federation in New York, one of only 6 CSP's in Africa. He is MD of the Congruence Group which focuses on developing human capital.

Paul is a founder member and Past President of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa, and received their Founders award at the Global Speakers Summit in Cape Town in April 2009 - for exceptional service to the speaking industry.

Paul blogs as "The Presentation Skills Expert." His e-zine has over 13,500 subscribers. His articles have been published internationally. He is the author of 2 books including "You Can Present with Confidence" released internationally in 2011.

A former league tennis player, he is now a marathon runner (having completed 7 consecutive Two Ocean marathons). He is also a wine collector (and imbiber!) and father of two extraordinary daughters.
